At Surbiton High School, we are delighted to have a thriving GCSE Physical Education course that enables pupils the opportunity to study sport, which develops and challenges pupils academically alongside participating in their three chosen sports.
GCSE PE is an addition to the PE curriculum which maximises the practical contact time in lessons. Students who study GCSE PE are provided with specialist teachers who have the experience of delivering sports programmes alongside the GCSE specification to ensure the pupil reaches their full potential in their practical sports.
Students study the AQA syllabus which is delivered in theory lessons in the classroom. Pupils will study for two exams with a range of topics that develop their knowledge in Health, Fitness and Sports Sciences.
