This October half term, our GCSE Art and Photography pupils embarked on an inspiring trip to Paris, designed to strengthen their creative and artistic skills alongside their peers.
They explored Paris’s world-renowned museums, galleries, and iconic landmarks, including the Musée d’Orsay, Musée de l’Orangerie, and the Palace of Versailles, covering artistic styles from classical and baroque to 19th- and 20th-century masterpieces, and modern works at the Pompidou Centre.
A particular highlight was the visit to the Maison Européenne de la Photographie, Europe’s largest photography centre. Pupils also enjoyed visits to the Eiffel Tower, marvelled at the Arc de Triomphe, and took in the Seine’s islands while observing Notre Dame’s restoration. The pupils immersed themselves in Parisian culture, cuisine, and vibrant surroundings – and a little shopping time, enriching their art projects and creative perspectives in unforgettable ways.
