Our Year 12 Design and Technology pupils had an exciting opportunity to visit the Triumph Motorcycle Factory and Visitor Centre in Hinckley, Leicestershire. This enriching experience provided valuable insight into the workings of a renowned global manufacturer, enhancing their understanding of product development, manufacturing processes, and marketing strategies.
During the guided tour, pupils explored various stages of production, from initial design concepts to final assembly. They observed how cutting-edge technology and craftsmanship are combined to create Triumph’s iconic motorcycles, celebrated for their quality and performance. A highlight of the visit was witnessing 3D printing technology, with pupils viewing full-scale concept models, illustrating the role of innovation and prototyping in modern design.
The tour also featured a special look at motorcycles used in recent James Bond films. Seeing these high-performance machines up close was both thrilling and inspiring, showcasing the artistry and precision involved in their creation.
