On Thursday 14 and Friday 15 September Year 11 Geography pupils visited Stratford in East London to investigate first-hand the level of impact the Olympic regeneration project has had on people’s quality of life. To explore this, pupils collected primary fieldwork data, including designing and collecting questionnaires from members of the public and environmental quality assessments.
Pupils visited 3 sites in total to be able to achieve balanced data. This fieldwork will be used to inform questions Year 11 students will be posed in paper 3 of their Geography GCSE examination in the summer of 2024. All pupils represented the school perfectly enthusiastically asking their questionnaires and often engaging local people in further conversation beyond the prescribed questionnaire about how the area has changed and the impacts they have seen.
