On Friday 16 June, the Main Hall at Surbiton High School was transformed into Victorian London for the Year 6 Production of ‘Oliver Junior’. This show proved to be one of the most technically challenging productions the Boys’ Prep School has ever undertaken, putting the boys’ singing abilities and acting talents to the test. However, they exceeded expectations and rose to the occasion. Packed with beloved songs and characters from Lionel Bart’s renowned stage musical, this production brilliantly showcased the remarkable performing skills of our Year 6 pupils who captured the humour, wisdom, and suspense of this rags to riches tale. As a school, building confidence in our children is an integral part of our ethos, equipping them with the life skills to help them succeed. Every single member of Year 6, no matter how big or small their role in this production, showed just how much their confidence has grown during their time at the Boys’ Prep School.
