Emmie Atkinson (10F)
On the 18th September, Emmie competed in the South East Regional Bronze Artistic Gymnastics Competition, where she secured 1st place and will be representing the South East Region in the National Finals in December.
In the competition Emmie was the highest scoring gymnast in both Vault and Floor and secured 3rd place on Beam. It was a tough competition and Emmie was the last gymnast to go on floor and last to compete in the overall competition, so it was a tense moment waiting to find out her score to see if she had secured a podium position. Her floor routine was flawless, securing 1st place for herself and ensuring her club won the Team gold medal.
In addition, on the 2nd October Emmie is competing for her club in British Adrian Stan Team Championship in Stoke-on-Trent against Olympic gymnasts. Congratulations and good luck for next weekend Emmie!
Maeve Haspel (8N)
This weekend, Maeve finished joint 3rd Overall and 3rd on bars in the qualifier to represent London in Bronze Classic Challenge in December. Well done Maeve!
