On Sunday 17 November, an all-female team consisting of Mia, Clara, Emily and Hannah (racing for the first time) competed in the Surrey Schools Skiing Championships.
All the pupils trained really hard the week before and were ready and excited to take on the race. The format consisted of two runs down the same course with the fastest three times per run, counting towards the overall team result. There were a few nerves on the first run, but they corrected themselves, learned and went brilliantly on the second run.
The girls’ team finished as Surrey Schools Champions, with Mia and Clara, first and third respectively in the girls’ overall individuals. Congratulations to Mia who was the fastest girl of the morning, taking home the £100 prize money. Hannah finished a well-deserved fourth in the younger age group.
