Decorating fluffy fairy cakes, and brightly crafted colourful bracelets – what better way to celebrate childhood creativity at Surbiton Festival.
On Saturday 28 September, staff and pupils from Surbiton High School joined together with some of the youngest members of the local community in Claremont Gardens – the festival’s free family-zone – with fun activities to make and take away. With over 800 cupcakes iced, 500 bracelets beautifully beaded, and the Boys’ Prep School choir belting out their soulful songs in the sunshine, the day was masses of frolicking family fun. We can’t wait to do it again next September.
“Great to help out with the community. There were so many people. It was a lot of fun!” – Hannah, Year 13
