Surbiton High School’s Year 12 Geography students recently embarked on a fieldwork expedition to Swanage, Dorset. There, they engaged in various data collection techniques across sand dunes, beaches, and the town itself, gaining practical insights into physical and human geography processes.
Their collected data will contribute to their A-level assessments, reflecting their ability to apply theoretical knowledge to real-world scenarios. Despite hot weather and a packed schedule, the students remained enthusiastic and fully engaged throughout the weekend, showcasing their dedication to academic excellence.
Mr McMillan, Head of Geography, praised the students, “The students were a credit to themselves and the School.” This trip not only enhanced their academic understanding but also fostered teamwork and camaraderie among the students.
