On Tuesday 4 October, the Artistic Director of the Polka Theatre visited the School to thank Surbiton High pupils for raising over £2000 in total for ‘Schools 4 Arts’. For some context, we split the funds between 4 local arts venues and the Polka Theatre was one of these. Our donation will enable up to 40 children to visit the Polka Theatre in Wimbledon, which for many children may be their first ever visit to a theatre, to experience the magic and wonder. Helen presented our drama students with a certificate and ran a Q&A session; the girls involved also performed a very short song in the Drama Studio.
