The Girls’ and Boys’ Preps joined forces on Tuesday 9 February to compete in the Kingston Borough Cross Country event, for the first time in over two years. The conditions were fantastic; sunny and mild, and the course dry. Over 30 schools from across the borough participated.
After some jostling on the start line, and an initial dash that somewhat resembled the first day of the Harrods sale, our boys and girls went on to pace themselves well throughout and finished strongly. Their efforts bore fruit and we finished the day with second place for the Year 5 girls, and third places for both the Year 5 and Year 6 boys – an outstanding achievement overall.
