Year 13 geographers have spent a busy 10-hour day at Juniper Hall Field Studies Centre.
The purpose of the visit was to learn more about A-level fieldwork data collection, analysis, statistics and GIS. This will contribute to their coursework, which counts for 20% of the final A-level grade.
Students spent time in the grounds of Juniper Hall and the surrounding countryside practising and evaluating different fieldwork methods, including infiltration, rates of run-off, carbon sequestration and field sketches.
It was a very enjoyable and intensive day in the beautiful autumn sunshine.
