On Friday 5th May, 23 of Surbiton High School’s gymnasts travelled to Stoke on Trent to compete at the National Gymnastics Championships. Coached by Mrs Nicola Osborn, Mrs Natalie Crosland, Mr Adam Buckingham & Miss Amy Mackenzie this was the largest squad ever fielded by Surbiton High School and indeed any other school across all of the age groups.

Our gymnasts were in a class of their own, displaying elegance and agility as they tumbled across the floor to their individually choreographed routines, exhibiting great control and finesse as they demonstrated near perfect vaults, and performed exciting and creative pair and group routines.

We had a fantastic weekend and came home with 2 bronze medals, 1 silver medal, 4 National titles and a Regional trophy!!!

Special mention must go to Eloise & Niamh who were awarded the highest mark of the whole pairs competition and the title of U14 National Pairs’ Champion

We are very proud of all of the gymnasts and would like to thank and congratulate everyone involved in making Surbiton High School ‘Simply the Best’.
