The main points of entry to the school are Reception (4+), Year 3 (7+), Year 7 (11+) and Sixth Form. We often have a small number of places available in other year groups each year and sometimes these are available part way through an academic year. Please contact the Admissions Office on 020 8439 1309 or firstname.lastname@example.org to discuss your requirements.
We hold Open Events throughout the year to welcome prospective parents and their children to the School. Open events last approximately one and a half hours and include a presentation by the Principal, an opportunity to tour the school and to talk with our staff over refreshments. If you are unable to attend an Open Event, we would be delighted to arrange an individual tour of the school at a time to suit you. To attend an Open Event, or arrange a tour, please contact the Admissions Office on 020 8439 1309 or email@example.com
Please contact us as early as you can to find out if a place is available in the appropriate year group. Ideally, for a September start, we would assess your child in the Spring term before entry, but if places are available we are able to consider your application at other times of the year.
Please complete the online Application Form. There is a non-returnable application fee of £100 (or £150 if we make arrangements to carry out the assessment overseas). We will make arrangements with you to visit the School so that we can assess your child for a place. We will also contact their current school to request a confidential report on their academic and other achievements and potential and we may ask to see evidence of public examinations taken.
For entry to the Girls’ Preparatory and Boys' Preparatory Schools, assessments involve spending part or all of a day, depending on the year group, at the School with the relevant year group and completing assessments in Maths and English. The level and formality of the assessment is age appropriate and not carried out under examination conditions.
For Senior School applications, we ask your daughter to sit examinations in English, Maths and a foreign language, and have an interview. Non-native English speakers may also need to pass English language tests.
We do not make past papers or sample papers available to
individuals or schools.
Yes. For entry to the Senior School, if you are unable to visit the School in person we may be able to make arrangements for your child to sit our entrance assessment tests at their current school or at the British Embassy, and we can carry out interviews using Skype. Alternatively, if you are visiting the UK at an appropriate time, we can carry out the assessment during your visit. Please note that all Prep School assessments must be conducted in the UK at the appropriate school. Please contact us to discuss suitable arrangements.
If your child is not an EU Citizen or National, we will require proof of their eligibility to study in the UK. If they will require a visa because parents are not staying in the UK, we are able to help by applying for a CAS number in order for you to complete their visa application.
Yes, for Senior School applications, we will ask you and your daughter to meet with a senior member of staff.
If your child has been assessed by an Educational or Occupational Psychologist and may need extra time, a laptop, a scribe or reader or other special arrangements to be made in order to sit the entrance examination, please let us know when you apply and provide copies of any assessment or report that is available. Our Learning Enrichment team will assess their requirements and make sure the necessary support is available.
Scholarships and Bursaries are usually only available for entry into Year 7 or Sixth Form.
