The Duke of Edinburgh Award

The Duke of Edinburgh Award is a popular and flourishing Co-Curricular option. We currently run Bronze, Silver and Gold. The students take part in practice expeditions on the North and South Downs along with the Brecon Beacons for Gold. The qualifying expeditions are in the New Forest for Bronze and Dartmoor for Gold. Surbiton High School is now a Duke of Edinburgh centre, which is very prestigious.

Students learn to take responsibility for many areas and find new interests while pursuing their goal. We offer voluntary activities such as Friendship Hour, sports coaching and a whole range of physical and skill options. A thoroughly rewarding opportunity for any individual.
