Sixth Form-level netball is open to every standard of player, from competitive to social level participation. There are also opportunities to be involved in the leadership programme and volunteer roles throughout the netball school life.
At competitive level netball, we engage players in a high performance programme, with a focus on performing at the Surrey Cup and in the National Independent Schools Cup. Players are expected to be committed to a fitness programme that is designed to be balanced and fit around their academic curriculum as well as their external netball career.
Social players are offered fixtures against local schools where they can enjoy netball to complement a fit and healthy lifestyle. Players are also given the opportunity to be involved in the annual Netballathon, which is a netball match that lasts over seven hours, as well as House netball and other fun fundraising events.
Netball is not just liked but loved at Surbiton High School. We understand that, with a broad base of players that have a passion for the game, there breeds a pyramid that is supportive and discovers true talent. This model has benefited the results at Surbiton High School and we stand as the top school in the county for many age groups, along with a standing at U14 level of being one of the top schools in the country.
