Netball

Netball at Surbiton High School continues to grow from strength to strength. Inclusion and ‘sport for all’ remain the bedrock of our ethos. We are fully committed to providing opportunities for all our players to become the very best they can be. The provision for netball at Surbiton High is extensive and allows pupils of all abilities to develop their own personal skills at recreation or team level. We have 26 teams across seven age groups that compete in over 500 fixtures across the netball season. All pupils are welcome to join Surbiton High School Netball Club, whether it be for competitive or recreational purposes.

We pride ourselves that we recognise all levels of ability and from the base of the pyramid, we will plan a pathway to suit each pupil. In order for all of our players to excel, we encourage and support pupils in joining local clubs. Our links with local clubs are strong and many players are already regular members of the local teams. For players showing exceptional talent, there is the opportunity to attend one of the Surrey Academy workshops and trials for the opportunity to be selected on to the Satellite Academy programme, which offers talented netballers high quality coaching and a pathway through to Regional and National netball.

The Coaching Team

Surbiton High has numerous internal and external netball specialists that ensure all teams of all abilities have consistency of coaching on a weekly basis. Netball specialists at the School have experience from playing internationally, as well as at Premier League, County Level and Club Level. Coaching experience ranges from Surrey County Coaches to Head Coaches from local netball clubs, such as The Downs NC, Whitton NC, Richmond Ravers and Tiffin NC.
