Vision of Sport

Surbiton High School’s six main sports are Netball, Hockey, Gymnastics, Rowing, Tennis and Skiing. In these areas we would like to gain, borough, regional and national success. For this to be a reality, our students need to have as much exposure to these sports as possible through curriculum and co-curricular activities.

In the Sixth Form girls follow a carousel of eight different activities over the two years. This is a wider sporting curriculum which allows the girls to experience different activities not necessarily taught during KS3 and KS4.

We want our programme to fit every student and as the girls progress through the school, we want them to be the best they can be. ‘The best’ will be a very different experience for each student, which is why we strive for a ‘sport for all’ ethos coupled with the pursuit of excellence.
