Surbiton High School netball has a very simple objective: to be the best school in the country for netball. To be the best means winning at national level as well as offering the best support and player pathway to reach high performance and international level netball.
This bold objective touches all students at Surbiton High School as they benefit from the high standards and expectations in fitness, skill development, match play and performance. Every pupil will be coached by ex-international players and highly experienced coaches and they will be given the opportunity to train and play abroad in places like Holland and Barbados.
There is a lot of opportunity to play in a team, representing the School. Each age band has from two to six teams, each with their own coach and overseen by an age group Head Coach, which ensures that each girl reaches her full potential. Players get the opportunity to play netball in a single lesson as well as during games afternoons and at after-school club.
For talented players, Surbiton High School offers a foundation for high performance netball. At Surbiton, we currently have five Satellite players at U14 level and one County Academy U16 player. School club players represent outside clubs such as premier league club The Downs and regional league team Whitton and Tiffin, as well as junior clubs like Richmond Ravers and Cobham. We have designed our school performance plan to complement outside netball and we keep communication high with all stakeholders so that players are given the opportunity to play at the highest standard while still representing Surbiton High School.
It is an exciting time for netball at Surbiton High School and we look forward to working with your daughter to help her be the best she can be.
