Art

The boys are immersed in the experience of Art from an early age. From Reception, the boys are encouraged to explore and create, using an array of media, without limitations. This provides them with the confidence to be individual and proud of their achievements, without feeling the need to conform to a particular style. This approach to art is continued throughout the School, combined with studies linked to particular artists and their specific techniques. Throughout their time at the Prep, the boys are exposed to a wide variety of materials and tools and produce work in both two- and three-dimensional forms. We are very fortunate to offer specialist teaching for art for boys in Key Stage 2.

Each year the boys contribute their artwork to a good number of competitions, both internally and externally, that have included photography, science themes, Christmas and Easter cards, our Founders' Day bookmarks and artwork for our music concerts.
